- Maximum of 5 cd's permitted per artist in the initial ranking rounds of voting, with only the top 2 cd's per artist progressing to the knockout rounds.
- The use of blocking software enabling unlimited votes is prohibited. Using this will result in penalties against cd's involved, including disqualification.
- The lineup for the knockout rounds is determind by where cd's finish in the ranking rounds.
- Only the top 64 cd's will progress to th knockout rounds.
- Knockout rounds consist of two bouts per week, with 4 cd's head to head.
- The top 2 cd's in each bout progress to the next round.
